"We are just playing with a lot of energy," captain Sidney Crosby said via NHL.com. "Just keeping it simple and playing to our strengths, got a lot of speed in the lineup and trying to take the load off our of defense a little bit. I think our energy has been pretty good considering how many games we've been playing and how depleted our lineup is."

Malkin will miss his fifth straight game with a lower-body injury.

The Senators will look to bounce back from a 4-3 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.

Erik Karlsson has one goal and five points in his last five games and leads the team with 34 points off of nine tallies and 25 helpers while Bobby Ryan has found the back of the net 16 times and added 17 assists for 33 points and Jason Spezza has 11 makers and 18 assists for 29 points.

Marc-Andre Fleury will likely man the crease for Pittsburgh tonight and is 21-8-1 with a 2.04 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage while Craig Anderson will likely be between the pipes for Ottawa and is 9-9-4 with a 3.42 GAA and a .897 save percentage.

The Penguins will look for their eighth straight victory while the Senators will hope to bounce back from a tough loss when these teams faceoff tonight in Ottawa.
