The recent scuffle at the Baltimore Ravens' season opener against the Buffalo Bills saw Lamar Jackson shoving a fan. The fan involved has been reported to be banned indefinitely from the Bills' home stadium and all NFL facilities.
The quarterback immediately regretted his actions, stating that his emotions got the best of him.
Lamar Jackson Takes Responsibility for His Actions
In the third quarter of the "Sunday Night Football" match at Highmark Stadium, Jackson and his teammate DeAndre Hopkins were celebrating a touchdown when a spectator slapped both players.
According to TMZ Sports, Jackson responded by pushing the spectator, which he confesses was a momentary lapse of judgment. While Jackson accuses the spectator of initiating the physical contact, he acknowledges that he could have handled the situation better.
"I seen him slap DHop. Then he slapped me. He was steadily talking. So, I forgot where I was for a little bit, but you gotta think in those situations."
Penalties for the Spectator
After the incident, the fan was also thrown out of the game, and as reports indicate, he is now banned from visiting NFL stadiums. Jackson, however, apologized for his outburst, citing that he knows security should handle such instances. He said that he learned from the experience and will ensure similar incidents don't happen again in the future.

Baltimore's Loss Versus the Bills
While the fight gained headlines, the Ravens' defeat in the game took center stage. Even with a stand-out performance by running back Derrick Henry, who ran for 169 yards, his fumble with less than two minutes left on the clock helped contribute to the Buffalo Bills' incredible turnaround. Jackson would not put all the blame on Henry, acknowledging that mistakes happen in the game.
Jackson said that the incident had happened at the wrong moment and all mistakes were part of the game.
