Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson appeared notably slimmer as he participated in the organized team activities that began on Monday, May 20.

Several media members asked the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player about the recent change in his physique on Wednesday, May 22, the second day of the Ravens' organized team activities.

"I'll say it was important enough to be able to move around a little bit extra, that's all," the 27-year-old initially said about his weight loss.

Jackson also explained his decision to lose 25 pounds from his 2022 weight to his current form.

"Just so I can be more agile and be able to move more," the two-time First Team All-Pro added.

One of Jackson's primary strengths as a quarterback lies in his rushing abilities.

According to ESPN, Jackson is the most productive running quarterback in the NFL. He amassed 5,258 yards in his first six seasons, surpassing any other quarterback by 1,399 rushing yards.

However, after experiencing a career-worst 38 sacks in 2021, Jackson bulked up to 230 pounds, but it appears he is now reversing course.
