Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown are facing renewed attention over the state of their friendship after Hurts reportedly did not attend Brown's wedding last weekend, according to multiple reports.
Brown married his longtime partner, Kelsey Riley, in a private ceremony on Saturday, May 16, at the Montage Laguna Beach resort in California.
The event was described as intimate and highly secure, but Hurts was notably absent from the guest list, raising questions among fans and media about whether he was not invited or simply chose not to attend. The absence has added fuel to ongoing talk about tension between the two players, who were once considered close both on and off the field.
Former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy suggested their relationship may have shifted due to football pressures, saying the situation shows how "work relationships" can change when performance expectations are not met, US Magazine reported.
McCoy added that the issue may reflect deeper frustration within the team, noting, "Now there's a little bit of friction there."

Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown Friendship Under Scrutiny
The Hurts–Brown connection goes back years. The two first built their friendship in high school and even share a strong personal bond, with Hurts serving as godfather to Brown's daughter.
Despite that history, reports throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons have pointed to a growing distance between them.
NFL insider Dianna Russini previously described their relationship as less close than it once was, saying that "life happens" and priorities change over time. Around the same period, speculation also grew about frustration within the Eagles' offense following an inconsistent season.
Hurts addressed criticism last season by focusing on accountability and performance. "I never run away from holding myself accountable," he said, emphasizing his focus on improving and leading the team through challenges.
On the field, the Eagles entered the 2025 season with high expectations after a Super Bowl win but struggled to maintain form and were eliminated in the Wild Card round by the San Francisco 49ers. Brown, in particular, was often at the center of offensive frustrations.
Trade rumors involving Brown have also intensified in recent months, with reports linking him to possible moves, including interest from the New England Patriots and other teams as the offseason approaches. Despite the speculation, both players have previously tried to downplay tension.
According to Daily Mail, Hurts said earlier this year that the two had spoken and were "in a great place," but the wedding absence has revived questions about where things currently stand.
