As of press time, it has not been made clear what incident has led CM Punk to post on his Instagram about people following wrestlers around.

Wrestlers With Stalker Incidents

CM Punk is not the first (and probably will not be the last) wrestler who called out fans over their stalker-like behavior. Through the years, many wrestlers have also dealt with security scares and other similar incidents due to stalkers.

Last February, Rhea Ripley shared a Valetine's Day incident wherein a stalker sent fan mail directly to her house.

"So I saw on the Ring on Valentine's Day, that someone was at my door, and I was watching it," Ripley said to Logan Paul during an appearance on his podcast.

"This chick was there for probably fifteen minutes, just smiling into my camera like the movie 'Smile,'" she added. "And I was like, 'Oh no.'"

Another infamous stalker incident involved retired WWE Superstar Sonya Deville. In 2020, a man named Phillip Thomas broken into Deville's home and attempted to kidnap her.

The stalker has since been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
