Washington Wizards star guard John Wall is rumored to be the next high-profile athlete in line to sign with Jay Z's suddenly thriving Roc Nation Sports agency, according to Complex.com.
Just hours after it was announced the hip hop legend had inked a deal to bring Yankees ace hurler C.C. Sabathia into the fold, Jay Z was seen in D.C. with Wall, setting Twitter ablaze that he might be next on the agency's founder's growing hit list.
Since launching Roc Nation less than a year ago, Jay has already signed such heavyweights as Kevin Durant, Robinson Cano, Victor Cruz, Geno Smith and the WNBA's Skylar Diggins to the label. Just last month, the firm negotiated a record-breaking $240 million dollar deal for Cano to leave the Yankees and join the Seattle Mariners.
The label is also said to be in play for Teddy Bridgewater and Jadeveon Clowney, both expected to be Top 5 selections in the upcoming NFL draft.
The husband of fellow hip hop star Beyonce, Jay Z also owns a franchise of sports clubs across the country known as 40/40 and has an Forbes Magazine estimated net worth in excess of $500 million.
