Ronda Rousey Rumors: MMA Champ Projects Media Attention Angst On Holly Holm [VIDEO]

Ronda Rousey is not reading Holly Holm correctly. Then again, Holly Holm isn't reading Ronda Rousey correctly, either.

The two MMA fighters are set to battle at UFC 193 on Nov. 14 in Melbourne, Australia, and are doing more pre-fight interviews to garner interest in their bout.

Angry Conference Call Hang-Up Exposes Ronda Rousey As Diva

Rousey has come up with the theory that an upset victory would do nothing but make Holm miserable because of the attention it would bring the challenger. But perhaps Rousey is the one showing increasing resistance to the limelight.

Holm countered that the UFC champion simply thinks that no one else could go through what she has to put up with as the biggest name in the sport as a female.

Ronda Rousey Increases Sex As Pre-Fight Routine

"Maybe it's coming from a place where she had to go through a lot of -- she has a lot of pressure on her, a lot of media attention on her," Holm said, according to USA Today Sports, "and she might be thinking that it's a lot to handle, and she knows she can handle it. And she's thinking 'I don't know if anybody else could do what I do.'

"Trust me, with a win, I'll be able to handle it."

But the question is, can Rousey continue to handle it? She questioned her status as a role model to younger girls in another USA Today Sports article.

"It is very flattering," Rousey said. "I have tried to do my best, but sometimes I feel I am not infallible enough to really be the perfect role model for little girls. I try my best, that's the best that I can do. I'm sure some mothers are happy about it and some don't approve and that's up to them and how they choose to parent."

Rousey also hung up on a media teleconference after a reporter asked whether she approved of her boyfriend going public with their relationship. It may be Rousey who is getting to the point of not being able to handle the glare and is projecting it onto Holm.

"I don't think she would be comfortable with it," Rousey said, when asked to compare her own high-profile routine with the relative anonymity Holm, from Albuquerque, N.M., enjoys. "It would take away from her quality of life. I don't think it is for some people.

"This kind of an environment is not what Holly would like. I hope that she takes whatever she gets for losing and has a life that she would like a lot more than this.

"With Holly I will genuinely be happy for her and hope that she accepts her loss in a healthy way and enjoys all the benefits that she got from this fight."
