Razor Inc. the American tech giant is bringing an innovative or peculiar type of keyboard and mouse. The company is ready to change the world of gaming and other usages of keyboards and mouse to the next level i.e. it might take the firm's signature Chroma LED effects to the next level.
Razer Inc. the gaming peripheral manufacturer has filed a patent application which will change the gamers gaming experience to the next level. Razer will be making keyboards and mouse by integrating LCD displays directly underneath the keys.
The patent application can be seen with the documents including the front page, drawings, technical specifications, and claims. Razer's new innovative patent application bearing a number 15/244,252 was filed on August 23, 2016, and is published on January 19, 2017, having a number US2017/0018382 A1.
The patent application carries a name "Optically Transmissive Key Assemblies for Display-Capable Keyboards, Keypads, or Other User Input Devices" and was filed by Razer (Asia-Pacific) PTE LTD. Singapore (SG).
According to Digital Trends, the technical specifications and working principle of the new idea are reported clearly with examples. It states that instead of having a tiny OLED screen under each key as seen in the Optimus keyboard, the new patent filed device has a single display which would be embedded in the keys or body of a mouse. This will actually be optically transmissive, or transparent.
The Patent application can be seen with statements mentioning details with drawings, "A significant drawback or limitation associated with conventional keyboards is the static information, for instance, static letters and numbers, that is displayed by individual keys of said keyboards,"
"Unlike touchscreen interfaces, existing keyboards do not provide a user with the dynamically changing interface via which a user can introduce inputs, instructions, and/or commands."
