Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Speculated To Launch in MWC 2017 In February; What's Revealed So Far

Tech giant Microsoft is currently one of the top companies pushing the innovative gadgets into the tech market which includes the Surface devices. The Redmond-based tech giant tough has not revealed anything about its upcoming device but speculations are rife that it will hit the tech market in the upcoming Mobile World Congress Event in Barcelona, Spain.

The 2-in-1 device Surface Pro 5 is the most anticipated and most awaited device from Microsoft by the enthusiasts. Presently, the internet is surfaced with new reports suggesting the specifications and features of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 device.

According to PC Advisor, it is reported that Surface Pro 5 was highly expected to arrive in October 2016. The anticipation was based on the launch of its previous model Pro 4 which hit the tech market in October 2015.

But, there were no words mentioning about the Surface Pro 5 and the event was limited to the Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio. Based on this, the device is highly expected to be unveiled this year.

The Surface Pro 5 is also reported to arrive with the new windows 10 update called as Creator Update is reported to be not coming before spring 2017. Based on the Creator update release date, the speculated release of Surface Pro 5 device is also expected to move beyond spring.

Considering the latest leak, it is found that Microsoft has given the manufacturing contract of Surface Pro 5 to Pegatron, which also manufactures Surface Studio. The report also states that the Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a 4K display, a stylus which recharges wirelessly and will launch in Q1 2017, and it's most likely that unveiling of the device will be seen in the MWC Barcelona, Spain.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to come in two different versions of storage 16 GB and 32 GB, supporting 512GB to 1TB storage SSD. Under the hood, there are still confusions on processors, as few reports claim that Surface Pro 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor.

Some other reports suggest the device will be powered by Intel's 7th Generation Kaby Lake processor. The type of processor to be equipped inside the device will be known after official confirmations from Microsoft.

Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to have a full cinematic experience in the 12.5-inch 4K screen which offers 3D support at 60fps. Microsoft is expected to ditch Super AMOLED screens in favor of IPS touch ones and enhancements to the camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are also expected. Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will likely have a starting price of $899.
