Ibrahimovic's Late Goal Helps Machester United Win Against Blackburn Rovers

Machester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped Manchester United to recover from an early deficit to win against Blackburn Rover by 2-1 in the FA Cup's fifth round on Sunday. Ibrahimovic entered the fray just after the hours play at Ewood Park and scored his first goal in the FA Cup and 24th in all competitions.

United's were pushed all the way by Blackburn but the two of their most extravagant signing this summer made the difference. Striker Ibrahimovic who was in the box from a long time got a beautiful chip from the Paul Pogba and with just a mighty touch Manchester ended the Rover's challenge.

Initial goals from Danny Graham and Marcus Rashford levelled the game in the first half and which was looking to continue in the second half too but with 15 minutes remaining Ibrahimovic scored his debut goal. With this win, United entered the quarterfinals where they will be facing Premier League leaders Chelsea.

The move by United's manager Jose Mourinho to send Ibrahimovic and the world record signing Paul Pogba in the 62nd minute of the game changed the scenario as before them Blackburn were looking quite tough to get through as reported in India Today. "Did they give us a good game? More than good, they gave us a hard game and congratulations to them," said Mourinho and added "Their approach was brave, strong. They had real competitors and if we didn't have the right attitude from everybody we would be in real trouble."

Machester United will be travelling to Saint-Etienne in the Europa League this Wednesday with an advantage behind their back to face Southampton in the EFL Cup final next Sunday as reported by BBC. On the other hand, this defeat meant that Owen Coyle's men have won only once in their last five outings and now they will be cautious about preventing their Championship status.

"We gave a very good account of ourselves but nobody likes losing games. We did enough to get another shot at it today" said Blackburn boss and added, "We now have to show that display week in, week out in the Championship."
