WWE veteran star R-Truth will not continue to work with WWE as the biggest wrestling entertainment giant has decided not to renew his contract. This ends a remarkable 17-year run that spanned iconic moments, championships, and unforgettable comedy segments.
On the social media site X, R-Truth himself announced the news, which led to an explosion of love, shock, and hot criticism from his fans and co-wrestlers.
One of the most heated reactions was from ex-NFL player and ex-TNA Tag Team Champion Adam "Pacman" Jones.
A WWE Veteran Leaves Without a Proper Farewell
Ron Killings, better known around the globe as R-Truth, is a fan favorite in WWE for a long time. From the United States Championship reign to the comedic skits during the 24/7 Title days, Truth created his own niche in the hearts of the audience.
With his second stint in WWE lasting almost two decades, fans felt that he had done enough to allow him to retire on his own terms.
Im sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride, Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you 🙏🏾

In its place, there was a shocking announcement about his contract non-renewal, allowing no time for a farewell on TV or a retirement ceremony. The unceremonious departure didn't sit well with fans and with his former tag team partner.
Pacman Jones Rips WWE: 'They Dropped the Ball'
Adam "Pacman" Jones, who partnered with R-Truth in TNA Wrestling to capture the Tag Team Championships in 2007, was one of the more outspoken.
On his "Politely Raw" podcast, as reported by Sports Illustrated, Jones spoke of shock and dismay at how WWE dealt with Truth's departure.
The former return specialist recalled the days when he fought alongside R-Truth. He said that he was the best Sunday mate he ever had, and now people are extremely angry about WWE's latest move.
Jones did not mince his words when he was asked about WWE's action, saying that Truth is "a true professional."
He continued, "I've never seen him get out of character. Now it's over with. You don't even give the fans a last chance [to say goodbye]."
"They dropped the ball, 100%," Pacman stated, also adding, pretty unsubtly, "This is bulls**t," the 41-year-old added.
Wrestling Community Rages Over an Abrupt Exit
The backlash on social media has been one: R-Truth was better than that. Most WWE superstars, past and present, issued tributes and sang the praises of his professionalism, work ethic, and unwavering optimism behind the scenes.
Although WWE has yet to issue an official statement about the contract decision, the backlash speaks volumes about the great respect the wrestling world has for R-Truth, not only as an in-ring talent but as an individual.
R-Truth is not the only wrestler recently released by WWE. According to Bleacher Report, the management did not renew the contract for Carlito as well.
