Perhaps the next "People's Champion" is on its way.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his girlfriend of nine years Lauren Hashian are expecting their first child together, according to US Weekly. The couple has been dating since 2006 when they met during the filming of Johnson's movie "The Game Plan."

It won't be the former WWE Champion's first leap into parenting as he has a daughter, 14-year-old Simone, with his ex-wife Dany Garcia. A person close to the couple told the publication, "They are so excited" when speaking about Johnson and Hashian expecting.

Johnson has been plenty busy outside of his personal life as the "Furious 7" star has a full slate ahead of him, especially with his HBO series "Ballers" being picked up for a second season. The eight-time WWE Champion is also rumored to be a part of Vince McMahon's company's Night of Champions event this Sunday in Texas, but nothing has been confirmed.

Johnson already received a lesson in what it's like to be a parent again. The movie star described an adventurous story on his Instagram account regarding his two French bulldogs, Brutus and Hobbs, who jumped into his pool on Labor Day Weekend without knowing how to swim.

"[I] bring them home and immediately take them outside so they can start learning how to 'handle their business and potty like big boys,'" Johnson explained in the caption of a photo of him and his soaked dogs on Instagram. "I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of our pool."

As for the nearly decade-long romance between Johnson and Hashian, the wrestler-turned-actor recently raved about his counterpart.

"We do these stories and we talk so much about the business end, the success end, but then Lauren isn't mentioned and my daughter [Simone] isn't mentioned," Johnson told Esquire in its August edition per US Weekly. "I always like making sure we find the balance and my home life is in there and Lauren Hashian is in there and my daughter is in there. You gotta get the better half in there. With all the cool s--t and success that I've been lucky enough to get? That doesn't happen unless the home life is solid."

The home life will have another member soon.
