Dallas Cowboys draft news: Dallas' defensive woes major concern; Boys' need to move past the DeMarcus Ware era [VIDEO]

Here at Sports World News we will count down each NFL teams’ 2014 draft needs and perfect fits. At the end of every team we will make a pick on who the team could take at their position.

2013 Review: The Cowboys are cursed to go 8-8 or 7-9 for the rest of eternity. They always find a way to drop a few games in a row and remind us how miserable their situation is. Dallas didn’t make the playoffs again, but retain Jason Garrett for another season. This offseason has not been kind to them with the departure of DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher.

Needs:
Defensive Tackle and End:
The Cowboy defense got destroyed by free agency and now all they have left is newly acquired Henry Melton. Ware and Anthony Spencer are both gone so Dallas needs to bring in two quality starters for the end position. There aren't many left on the market so Jerry Jones needs to work some magic in the draft and get NFL quality guys. The situation is dire for the defensive line and time is running out in Dallas

Linebacker: The Cowboys strong side linebacker situation might be as bad as the defensive line. They have nothing other than Ernie Sims, who wouldn't start on 20 other rosters. Dallas shouldn't spend a pick on the offense this draft. It’s a shame because they could use some offensive improvements as well.

Targets: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh
Ra'Shede Hageman, DE/DT, Minnesota
Louis Nix, NT, Notre Dame

Best First Round Fit: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh
I have the Cowboys trading up to grab Donald because he fits the system so well. Donald is the best defensive tackle in the draft and shouldn't be available at No. 16. The Cowboys could settle for one of the other tackles and use their versatility to their advantage, but Donald could be a rare talent that will help Cowboy fans forget Ware, Spencer and Hatcher.
