Chivas Guadalajara Transfer News: Angel Reyna Signing Wednesday, Jose Maria 'Chema' Cardenas, Enrique Palos In Talks With Chivas?

Already carrying two signings that bolstered their side—Fernando Arce and Carlos Salcido—Chivas Guadalajara continue to target Mexican prospects, with Leon's Chema Cardenas and UANL goalkeeper Enrique Palos joining the fray.

Fernando Arce Will Make Critics 'Eat Their Words' At Chivas Guadalajara

First, the transfer saga that is Angel Reyna. The pursuit of the 29-year-old continues to dominate the club's attention. San Cadilla reports Chivas are in search of a loan deal. Veracruz are looking for a transfer and player swap. Unable to come to an agreement, owner Jorge Vergara is scheduled to meet with Kuri Grajales on Wednesday to determine Reyna's fate.

"This Wednesday we have meeting with Mr. Vergara to talk about the matter. This Wednesday it will be decided whether Reyna will stay or go," Grajales told Contragolpe, a Spanish-speaking radio show in the United States (via Medio Tiempo).

Chivas Guadalajara Still Targeting Isaac Brizuela, Carlos Esquivel?

"Toluca has been persistently and directly involved, but I have a promise to meet personally with Jorge Vergara," he added.

"I have to wait until I meet with him [before I decide what to do with Toluca]."

Should Reyna ultimately sign with Chivas Guadalajara, don't expect them to close shop. He would only serve as the third of six signings sought after by the club. Per Hector Huerta, the Goats are already in discussions with the other two aforementioned players, Cardenas and Palos.

Cardenas made 18 appearances with Leon in 2014, scoring one goal and creating 24 chances for the club. Palos, however, failed to make a similar impact for UANL. The 27-year-old made just three appearances for Tigres, unable to unseat Sergio Garcia.
