Aaron Hernandez Arrest, Murder Charges Gets a 'No Comment' From Current New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski (VIDEO)

An antidote to quiet New England Patriots boisterous tight end Rob Gronkowski was discovered at a Barnes & Noble book store in Boston on Thursday.

Gronkowski met with members of the media before a book-signing event when the conversation turned to his reaction on the arrests of former fellow Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and current Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, the Boston Globe reported.

Gronkowski first was asked about his reaction to the arrest of Dennard, who was arrested in the early morning hours on Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence in Lincoln, Neb., according to USA Today.com.

"I've got no reaction at all," Grownkowski said.

"What about Hernandez?" was the follow-up question.

Hernandez was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Odin Lloyd. The Patriots released Hernandez shortly after his arrest.

"I've got no reaction at all," he repeated. "I'm just here about the book.

Gronkowski was at the book store with his father, four brothers and author Jeff Schober to sign autographs for a new book, "Growing Up Gronk: A Family's Story of Raising Champions."

The "other" Patriots tight end has had a tumultuous offseason himself. Gronkowski's twice-broken forearm from 2012 got infected, and he has undergone four surgeries on it since originally hurting it in November.

He then had to have surgery for a herniated disc in his back on June 18 and may not be ready to play until mid-September, according to multiple media reports.

In fact, when Gronkowski was asked about his back, his response:

"I've got no reaction about that, either."

At least, he then elaborated, saying, ""I can tell you this, I'm in great spirits and I'm enjoying life a lot more."

Gronkowski finally loosened up a bit when he was asked about the NFL's handling of players' off-the field issues.

"Ask Roger Goodell," he said. "You gotta ask Roger. He's been in the business for a while now, so he'll know. From when he started to where he is now ... Roger that."
