The flashy Giants wide receiver was spotted at a post-Grammy's party with the singer on Feb. 15, and it was expected that she was his latest amazing catch. Her father quickly nixed those thoughts, saying that he was on an "audition."
"What relationship?" Kazembe Ajamu Coleman said to TMZ that night when asked if he approved of the two being together. "There's no relationship, we're just friends. When you see my daughter out on a date without me, it's a relationship."

A mere two days later, it seemed Beckham eventually won over Zendaya's father.
"I would approve," Coleman told TMZ about a possible second date. "He actually was a perfect gentleman. He was polite. He was courteous. He was respectful in every way. I commend that young man and his parents for how they raised him."
So pops approves. Beckham is in the clear to date the "Replay" singer now, right? Not so fast, says Zendaya herself.
"Here's the thing, a couple of things, first of all it wasn't really a date," she said Thursday in an appearance on 92.3 Amp Radio, according to E! News. "We went to some events together, because we're friends. We were with a group, we were with multiple people. I was with my stylist and everything like that.
"Even if it does progress, you gotta go through my dad first. Just because you're in the NFL, you killin' stuff, that doesn't mean you get to skip past pops. He's not going to allow that to happen."
Well it seems pops did allow it to happen. Either Zendaya and her father are victims of miscommunication or there's more than meets the eye with her latest comments.
