As Nick Saban and the No.1 ranked Crimson Tide search for their third straight BCS title and fourth in five years, they have once again relied heavily on the run game.
T.J. Yeldon has seven touchdowns while rushing for 657 yards on 100 carries so far this season, while Kenyan Drake also has seven scores while carrying the ball 49 times for 402 yards.
"I think those two guys have played well," Saban told ESPN "Both tailbacks complement each other in terms of their style. One guy's a little bit faster [Drake]. The other guy's more of an inside, make you miss, hard to tackle."
Quarterback A.J. McCarron has gone 126-for-182 (69.2%) for 1,587 yards with 14 touchdowns compared to three interceptions.
The outlook for Tennessee is somewhat grim, but coach Butch Jones thinks it could learn from Alabama's program to ensure a better future for the school.
"I think the one thing you can say about their program -- it's what we're building here at Tennessee -- it's based on competition," Jones said, according to ESPN. "It's a competitive environment every day you walk in there. That's what we're building here, kind of the next-guy-in mindset."
Tennessee knows a little something about upsets after surprising then-No.11 South Carolina with a 23-21 victory last week.
Quarterback Justin Worley has struggled on the road so far this season, and overall he has gone 101-for-181 (55.8%) for 1,119 yards with 10 scores and six picks.
Alabama will look to keep rolling while Tennessee is hoping for its second consecutive upset when these two teams faceoff this afternoon in Alabama.
