Boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made it clear that he has no interest in stepping into the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) and that if UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones wants to face him, it would have to be in a boxing ring.

In a video posted on social media, Fury directly addressed Jones, emphasizing his distinction as a boxer and dismissing any notion of entering a cage. Fury acknowledged Jones' skills as a fighter but emphasized that Jones is not a boxer.

He invited Jones to challenge him in a boxing match, asserting his authority in the realm of boxing and suggesting that Jones contact him directly rather than involving UFC President Dana White or anyone else.

Jon Jones Bound by Contract

After Jones joined a conversation involving Fury and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, Fury responded. Rogan had expressed doubts about Fury's chances against Jones in a hypothetical confrontation, leading to a response from Fury and, subsequently, an invitation from Jones to discuss a potential fight with White.

The situation highlights the inherent challenge when UFC fighters and boxers engage in verbal exchanges. Jones is bound by a restrictive UFC contract that limits his fighting activities to the octagon, requiring permission from the UFC for any other endeavors. On the other hand, Fury is not bound by similar contractual terms, allowing him more freedom in his career choices.

Consequently, the back-and-forth remains in talk rather than a concrete match between the two fighters.
