Kansas City Chiefs standout Patrick Mahomes is regarded as the premier quarterback in the NFL today and is already considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in the sport's history.

However, he still trails behind the unparalleled accomplishments and longevity of the GOAT, Tom Brady.

The reigning Super Bowl MVP recently appeared on the latest episode of Logan Paul's podcast, "IMPAULSIVE," where he discussed his aspirations to surpass Brady. The episode was released on Thursday, May 2.

"I think I just have to do what I just did these first seven years. Three more times," the 28-year-old said.

Seven seasons into his career, Mahomes is approaching the halfway mark to Brady's record of seven Super Bowl victories with three on his name.

However, Brady will always have one upper hand; he secured his final Super Bowl win by defeating Mahomes and the Chiefs in Super Bowl 55.

Mahomes praises Brady's later career

Mahomes commended Brady's stellar performances in his 40s and dominated the league for 23 seasons.

The two-time NFL MVP also outlined what he needs to do to mirror Brady's enduring success.

"The fact that he if you ever look at his career from 40 to 45, that's in the Hall of Fame, just from those years. It's going to take consistency and longevity but at the end of the day, all you can do is go out there and try to win."
