
WWE Hall of Famer and legendary wrestling commentator Jim Ross has announced that he has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
JR, as he's most popularly known in wrestling, made the announcement on social media.

"Diagnosed this week with colon cancer," he said in a tweet. "Surgery being scheduled in the next week or two."
"I appreciate your concern and support," he added.
Ross did not elaborate on the severity of his diagnosis. It can be recalled that he announced in 2021 that he was diagnosed with skin cancer. He announced that he was cancer free that same year.

The statement added, "J.R. is a valued member of the AEW family, and we stand beside him during his journey toward recovery."
