The Seattle Seahawks are a dark horse candidate to be involved in a growing NFL trade rumor that will rock the league.
As superstar linebacker Micah Parsons is unclear about his contract situation with the Dallas Cowboys, experts are beginning to connect the Seattle Seahawks with a possible megadeal that will bring one of the NFL's best defenders to the Pacific Northwest.
Seattle's Defense Needs a Game-Changer
Even with a roster full of talented players, the Seahawks have not had a top-line pass rusher since the loss of crucial defensive stalwarts Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. Seattle Sports' Mike Salk recently speculated that one of the names under consideration to fill that position might be Cincinnati Bengals star Trey Hendrickson. But another name surfaced—one with even greater star power.
Pro Football Network's Hayden Victoria included Seattle among the top five destinations for Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, citing the Seahawks' cap situation and desperate need for an elite edge rusher.
Victoria said that despite Seattle's solid roster, the team lacks a real game-altering edge rusher.
"With plenty of cap room after recent operations, the Seattle Seahawks might be in a position to make a splashy move for Parsons to anchor their defense for seasons to come."

Why Is Micah Parsons in NFL Trade Rumors?
Micah Parsons, a two-time All-Pro and one of the league's most feared defenders, is entering the final year of his rookie deal. Although the Cowboys have picked up his fifth-year option for 2025, good for a whopping $24 million, they have not signed him to a long-term extension.
That slowdown has fueled rumors. If the Cowboys continue to dilly-dally with contract negotiations, they might be inclined to trade talk, albeit unlikely.
Parsons' estimated market value is set at a four-year, $145 million contract, as estimated by Spotrac.
Would the Cowboys Trade Micah Parsons?
Let's be clear: Parsons being traded is unlikely. Team owner Jerry Jones said in April that most of the details of the contract had been agreed on. Still, almost two months later, Parsons is unsigned beyond 2025.
Jones clarified way back that in most of the issues, they have an agreement. However, there is no agreement relative to a new contract.
Until paper meets pen, the Cowboys can entertain all possible Parsons suitors.
What Would the Seahawks Have to Surrender?
If Seattle were to get Parsons, they'd have to pay a king's ransom, according to Heavy. The opening bid? At least one first-round draft choice, potentially several high-end picks, and a couple of youngsters like Boye Mafe or even Kenneth Walker III.
Seattle has been willing to go big before; just consider the Jamal Adams trade. Parsons would be a brasher move, but not uncharacteristic for a team eager to rapidly return to contender form under new head coach Mike Macdonald.
