Caitlin Clark is a huge Kobe Bryant fan, and she admitted that the only sneakers she wears on the court are the Black Mamba. It's no surprise then that she ended up with Kobe sneakers of her own.
Clark's Kobe V Protro shoes were released Monday morning for $190 and sold out virtually overnight.
The Indiana Fever guard's influence on her fans is proof that she's already making waves wherever she goes. Fans who were lucky enough to get hold of a pair were quick to take advantage, with resale postings appearing on eBay for $400 or more, more than twice the original cost.
Stunning Tribute to Kobe Bryant's Memory
Clark's take on the legendary Kobe 5 silhouette is more than a shoe. For the 23-year-old baller, it's an ode. With a brash "Midnight Navy, Bright Crimson, and University Gold" color scheme and high-gloss finish, the look shines both on and off the court.

According to TMZ Sports, the sneakers show Clark's firecracker on-court personality and her reverence for the late basketball great. During a recent episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Clark showed whose team she was:
"I only wear Kobes," she told them. "They're the G.O.A.T. basketball shoe."
The Hype Is Real and So Is the Resale Market
Within minutes of the shoes falling, resale websites flared to life. eBay listings popped up shortly after, with sellers asking $350 to more than $500, depending on condition and size. For those who were not fast enough, their only hope now could be from third-party sellers at a markup.
Clark's increasing market clout is shooting up on this one. She keeps driving women's basketball into mainstream sneaker culture.
There Are More Caitlin Clark Signature Sneakers Coming
Missed out? Don't worry. It's not the last opportunity to get a Clark-endorsed shoe. According to information, her very first official signature sneaker will be available in 2025, giving fans a second chance to be part of her history.
Although she never had the pleasure of meeting Kobe Bryant in person, Clark has made a deeper connection with his legacy and his family. She had a sweet interaction with Vanessa Bryant at the WNBA All-Star Game, celebrating the Mamba spirit on and off the court.
