As WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg sets the stage for his farewell match this weekend, he has explicitly named who he thinks should take over the legacy of his trademark move: the Spear.
Goldberg Passes 'Spear' Signature to Bron Breakker
Goldberg recently told Shak Wrestling (via WrestlePurist) that he is officially bestowing his approval upon Bron Breakker as the sole WWE Superstar deserving to employ the devastating move when he retires.
"I had the conversation last night with Bron, and I told him my feelings on it, and I think 1000% he's the only human being in the WWE that should be doing that. I know I'm going to catch a lot of hell from that, but I don't care because that's the truth. It is what it is."

Wrestling Icon's Signature Move
Goldberg made the Spear mainstream when he burst onto WCW during the late '90s, where it was used as an extension of his brutal, no-nonsense persona. Since then, the move has been a mainstay throughout promotions and stables.
According to The TakeDown, WWE icons Roman Reigns and Jey Uso are known to use the Spear regularly, while AEW's Adam Copeland (Edge), Bobby Lashley, and TNA's Moose, have also been known to use the move in their arsenals.
Even though it is widely popular, Goldberg thinks the move must be retained as an emblem of power, intensity, and authenticity, qualities he thinks Breakker possesses.
Why Bron Breakker Gets the Goldberg Nod
Bron Breakker, the athletic son of WWE legend Rick Steiner, has been setting the WWE universe ablaze with his high-flying athleticism and fiery attitude.
As an amateur wrestling background gives way to a style that duplicates Goldberg's brutal ferocity, Breakker has established himself as one of the newest superstars in the industry.
In February, Bron Breakker speared iShowSpeed inside the WWE ring. The streamer said he could not walk for two days after that.
Goldberg's Last Fight
Goldberg's emotional send-off match is scheduled at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, as he'll face Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The rivalry began last year at Bad Blood in Atlanta, when Gunther openly disrespected the veteran legend, opening the door for an intense clash.
To be held in Goldberg's hometown, the contest will be a historic farewell in front of fans, family, and long-time supporters.
