Triple H has dropped a huge spoiler ahead of WWE Wrestlepalooza.
According to WWE's chief content officer, Cody Rhodes has been notably absent from recent episodes of SmackDown and the August event, Clash in Paris, because he is busy with his shooting in the new "Street Fighter" movie.
Fans have expected that his clash with Drew McIntyre will be epic, but Rhodes has also personal reasons why he couldn't attend the event.
Cody Rhodes' Absence Explained
In WWE's current storyline, Cody was either attacked by Drew McIntyre or, according to Drew's perspective, he was the one who launched the assault, per Cageside Seats.
Outside the ring, though, Cody's focus has shifted to his growing family and acting career. Despite this, the American Nightmare himself has expressed frustration about champions not being present enough to defend their titles and continue their storylines live.
Triple H Teases Cody Rhodes' Return
The Pedigree master "Triple H" recently shared news of Rhodes's return during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Sept. 9.
Although he did not mention the exact date, Triple H attested that Rhodes will make his comeback soon to settle his current rivalry with Drew McIntyre and defend his WWE title.

The timing of his return is not yet finalized, but it is expected to happen before or around the Sept. 20 Premium Live Event (PLE) in Indianapolis.
What to Expect at WWE's Big September Show
The September 20 PLE will be a major event, marking the WWE's new partnership with ESPN. The current match card promises high excitement with headline bouts such as:
- John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
- Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch vs. CM Punk and AJ Lee
- Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky for the WWE Women's World Championship
- The Usos vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed
Triple H knows that fans can easily anticipate Cody calling out McIntyre at Crown Jewel Perth in October. However, the WWE imagines that this could be even bigger. Pulling off a surprise WWE Championship match will surprise the audience.
