
Former WWE champion and New Day member Big E has confirmed his retirement from professional wrestling.
In a heartfelt message posted on social media, Big E thanked everyone who supported him throughout his career.
Big E Has Retired
According to a report by Fightful, Big E, whose real name is Ettore Ewen, has confirmed in an interview with "Compas on the Beat" that he has, in fact, retired.
"I'm content. In wrestling, never say never, but right now I'm retired," he said. "That, for me, is it. I'm focused on other things right now."
Big E went on to post his thoughts on social media. His X post can be seen below.

A Career to Be Proud Of
Throughout his WWE career, Big E held multiple championships both as a singles competitor and as a member of the New Day.
Aside from being a former WWE champion, he also held the NXT Championship as well as the Intercontinental Championship. He likewise won the Money in the Bank in 2021.
As a member of the New Day, he was a tag team champion eight times in his career.
At present, his serves as a panelist on WWE programming, a role that he says he really enjoys, according to SI.com.
"I've really enjoyed being a part of helping people be more informed about what they're about to see or what they just saw," Big E said of his new role. "And it's helped prepare me for other roles in broadcasting as well. So not something I had on my radar when my career was wrapping up, but I'm really enjoying it."
