Seahawks, 49ers Rivalry: Seattle Ticket Office Denies Sale of NFC Championship Game Tickets to California [VIDEO]

The feel-good stories are over; the rivalry is back on.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that hours after the 49ers' 23-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers victory on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks ticket office blocked ticket sales for the NFC Championship Game between the Seahawks and Niners from addresses to anyone in California.

In fact, the Seahawks are allowing just credit card addresses from six states - Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii - to purchase tickets for the NFC Championship Game at Century Link Field.

Tickets also are available in Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta, CBSSports.com reported.

According to the Chronicle, the Seahawks are hoping to restrict tickets to Seattle fans only and are trying to eliminate scalpers.

Last week, fans from both teams raised more than $50,000 for children's hospitals in each other's city, the Chronicle reported. Those act interrupted a feud between Seattle and San Francisco fans. Niners fans had paid for a pro-49ers billboard just outside Seattle. Seahawks fans boycotted a Dr. Dre headphones commercial that featured San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick going through a hostile opposing crowd that was insinuated to be Seahawks fans.

San Francisco fans hoping to purchase tickets to the NFC Championship game must hope to do so in the secondary market, where CBSSports.com says the cheapest tickets are already priced at $330 early Sunday afternoon and were up to $368 as of Sunday evening, according to ticketcity.com.

CBSSports.com added that the tickets were going to be difficult to purchase for those areas the Seahawks allowed. The tickets to Seattle's NFC Division Round playoff game that went on sale Dec. 31, sold out in 26 minutes.
