Reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will face off against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a boxing match on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The match will see two of the biggest stars in combat sports collide, and it will be contested using traditional boxing rules with three judges using the 10-point must system.
"As soon as that bell goes, it'll be bombs away! This guy is supposed to be the hardest puncher in the world, but let's see how he reacts when he gets hit by the Big GK [Gypsy King]," Fury said about Ngannou.
Some details are still unclear, including how many rounds the fight will go and if the fight's result will count towards their professional records or if Fury will put his heavyweight championship on the line.

Two heavyweight champions collide
Ngannou was the reigning UFC heavyweight champion until he was stripped of the title in January 2023 after failing to reach a new contract with the promotion.
"I've been waiting to meet Tyson in the ring for the past three years. My dream was always to box, and to box the best," the 36-year-old Camerooinian-French said.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said that Fury was given special permission to fight Ngannou, as Fury's camp wasn't able to reach an agreement with contenders such as Andy Ruiz Jr., Anthony Joshua, and Oleksandr Usyk for a potential championship bout.
