In a long-rumored move, WWE is reportedly gearing up to host the world's largest wrestling event, WrestleMania 43, in Saudi Arabia in 2027.

For the first time in history, the legendary event may be held outside of America. While there's no official confirmation yet from WWE, a live press release earlier might have already teased the possibility.

According to The Takedown, the news broke on Wednesday afternoon when Saudi Arabian advisor Turki Alalshikh announced it live on Snapchat. The translator of his words uncovered that "WrestleMania has been announced, for the first time outside America, WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2027."

PWInsider's Mike Johnson verified the legitimacy of this report, indicating that an Arabic press release had been issued earlier in the day, but it was quickly retracted.

Although released prematurely, Johnson assured wrestling fans that the news is accurate, and an official WWE statement could come anytime soon.

The post on X was deleted right away.

Saudi Arabia Is a Key Destination for WWE

WWE has long been eyeing international shows, and Saudi Arabia has been a perennial target. The Kingdom has hosted the big WWE shows recently, including the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018.

WWE is now set to bring the real spectacle of WrestleMania to Saudi land to capture the nation's status as a top destination for international sports entertainment.

While WWE has not yet officially confirmed WrestleMania's location for 2027, the reports suggest that this deal has been in the works for some time. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shown significant interest in hosting major wrestling events, and this won't stray away from any lingering information about its WWE partnership.

WWE's Future WrestleMania Plans

WWE is also setting its sights on upcoming WrestleMania shows. The company announced that WrestleMania 42 will once again visit Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in April 2026. This comes after the show was already confirmed to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

New Orleans was initially the place for WrestleMania 42, but it will now host the Money in the Bank 2026, as part of a deal that includes a future WrestleMania.

WWE's Growing Global Footprint

Reaching Saudi Arabian fans is a part of WWE's expanding global footprint. With the Kingdom already hosting the Royal Rumble in January 2024, WWE's international reach continues to grow.

The most recent WWE event outside the US is the Clash in Paris, where AJ Lee rumors began to sprout.
