Cody Rhodes' nephews, Wayne and Wyatt, dream of fighting the best WWE tag teams. Surprisingly, The Usos are not on their wishlist.

During a recent interview, the duo unveiled who they're hoping to face among WWE tag teams, and the list indicates they're ready to compete against the best.

Wayne Rhodes Gives Motor City Machine Guns and DIY Dream Opponents

When asked who they would like to compete against in WWE, Wayne Rhodes had no hesitation naming two of wrestling's most technically accomplished tandems: Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) and DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa).

Wayne told MuscleManMalcolm that he and Wyatt recently encountered the Machine Guns and had great respect for their tradition.

"We'd love to go toe-to-toe with them. They've influenced so many tag teams, including us. DIY is another team that brings incredible energy and chemistry. Facing them would be a dream come true."

Wyatt Rhodes Calls Out The Usos for a Future Showdown

While Wayne's choices leaned toward technical excellence, Wyatt Rhodes went straight for dominance and legacy. According to SE Scoops, he boldly called out The Usos, one of WWE's most decorated tag teams, saying he hopes for their full-time reunion just so he and Wayne can face them head-on.

According to Wyatt, The Usos are one of the best WWE tag teams in history, but if that match happens, they would beat them easily.

The declaration instantly made headlines among fans on social media, generating buzz regarding a possible Rhodes vs. Usos feud, a battle between wrestling legacies that could ignite the WWE tag team scene.

The Legacy of The New Texas Outlaws

Wayne and Wyatt inherit the title of wrestling royalty in their lineage. As nephews of Cody Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes, and as grandsons of the great Dusty Rhodes, the brothers respect their heritage with pride. Their tag team moniker, The New Texas Outlaws, is a tip of the hat to Dusty Rhodes' iconic alliance with Dick Murdoch, The Original Texas Outlaws.

The brothers debuted in AEW in August 2024, beating Aaron Solo and Jon Cruz.
