Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are growing disappointed with their second-straight loss. What's more, the team noticed that the star quarterback is not performing in his usual form. A glaring performance drop was seen, and this was concerning for the whole team.
From Dominant October to Unexpected November Slump

After a sensational October in which he threw for 1,160 yards, 10 touchdowns, and just three interceptions while completing nearly 73 percent of his passes, Mahomes entered November as one of the league's hottest quarterbacks. The momentum has come to a stop.
Through two November games, he has completed just 55.7% of his passes with one touchdown and two interceptions, per Athlon Sports.
The deep-ball accuracy has been especially concerning. Per PFF, Mahomes completed just 3-of-12 throws of 10 yards or more in Kansas City's Week 11 loss.
This sudden regression has forced analysts, including sports commentator Bill Simmons, to voice legitimate concern about the form of the three-time Super Bowl champion.

Experts Sound the Alarm on Mahomes' Accuracy Issues
For Simmons, "Mahomes needs to be Mahomes" again if the Chiefs want to be aggressive again. The analyst said that Kansas' situation does not look right to him, and they are "running out of time."
The concern is widespread. For a quarterback known for flawless mechanics, elite accuracy, and generational playmaking ability, Mahomes' recent struggles look uncharacteristic and alarming.
Matt Nagy Wants Mahomes to Stop Overthinking
Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy spoke to the dip in Mahomes' deep-ball production, sharing advice he's given the star quarterback.
For Nagy, Mahomes does not need to be perfect. He praised the quarterback's accuracy in the league. He added that someone just needs to "put the ball in the vicinity and let him make the play."
Mahomes was "pissed" about the missed opportunities, fully aware that defenses rarely give him clean chances to attack downfield.
Mahomes Takes Accountability, But Confidence Remains High
When speaking to the media, Mahomes kept it simple: he's missing throws he should make. Slump notwithstanding, there's no panic in the locker room. His résumé, leadership, and competitive fire would suggest he'll turn it around quickly.
Still, the growing concern from analysts and fans shows that the margin for error is shrinking. Mahomes needs to prove that he is tenacious to return to his original form. He will be tested when the Chiefs face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
